As an M&A specialist, he advises on international private equity, venture capital and strategic investments in Hungarian companies. Major industries of his activity include aviation, business services, communications, software development, information technology, manufacturing, consumer goods, real estate, financial sector, online and offline media, healthcare and biotechnology. He has acted as lead counsel in over 60 international transactions.
His transactional experience also includes acting for both service providers and customers on a wide range of outsourcing transactions. He has advised market leading Information Technology Outsourcing (ITO) services providers on their biggest Hungarian projects in the financial services, telecommunications, energy and utility industries, and he also advises leading financial services providers as customers of BPO services.
In addition, János Tamás regularly acts for clients in high-value employment litigation and in arbitrations and he also advises on both financing and regulatory matters especially in the telecommunications and financial services sectors.

András Lovretity joined VJT & Partners in 2015 as a partner heading the firm’s M&A practice.
András has more than 15 years of experience in international M&A, restructuring and private equity transactions, as well as participation in a wide variety of project-related proceedings in all stages of such projects from due diligence to drafting and negotiating the terms of the transaction and legal assistance in closing the deal. The M&A projects András has worked on included both domestic and cross-border acquisitions as well as privatizations.
In addition to András’ M&A transactional and projects experience gained during his years with an international law firm and subsequent affiliations, he has become an expert in the legal aspects of the aviation industry through eight plus years advising Budapest Airport on various projects and business matters.
András also possesses significant legal expertise in real estate and construction and has been involved in all aspects of development projects including permitting, design and construction of commercial facilities and their subsequent lease to business operators.
The scope of András’ legal advisory work also includes counseling in various transactions in the public procurement regime and matters concerning state property as well as competition law cases including merger clearance, restrictive agreements and abuse of dominant position.
András graduated from the Law School of Eötvös Loránd University, Győr in 2001 and has been a member of the Budapest Bar since 2005.

Gábor joined VJT & Partners upon graduation and was made a partner in 2011. He is well-known for his commitment and courage in both his private and professional life.
Gábor is the head of commercial in VJT & Partners. He advises on a broad range of commercial contracts and has gained wide experience in drafting and negotiating various commercial contracts, GTCs, policies etc. in the retail, real property, financial services, insurance and IT sectors. Within the commercial area, he has specialist expertise in competition law matters and business immigration.
He leads VJT & Partners’ technology practice. His experience includes drafting and negotiating technology outsourcing deals, cloud computing-based deals for both customers and suppliers in a range of industries, including IT and insurance. In the past decade he has built up a firm knowledge and experience in advising clients on data protection matters as well. In major transactions he regularly advises clients on the transfer/assignment of copyrights and other IP rights.
Gábor graduated from the Law School of Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest in 2006. Also, he received a post-graduate degree in the field of competition law from the Law School of Pázmány Péter Catholic University, Budapest in 2010. He was a member of Bibó István College of Law, Budapest between 2003 and 2009. Besides English and Hungarian he speaks French as well.

Endre is committed and persistent in his professional work. He is devoted to ongoing professional development and strives for client satisfaction.
He gained international experience in data protection, outsourcing and other information technology matters. His experience includes drafting contracts for Fortune 1000-listed IT companies as well as advising on the regulatory aspects of global cloud computing.
Endre assisted a number of multinational clients in various privacy issues such as providing advice on complex data protection matters (e.g. global data transfers, whistleblower scheme, background checks, bring your own devices), carrying out audits and working out different types of privacy policies.
He is also the editor of the firm’s “Hungarian Watch” brochure tracking down cross-border Hungarian investment opportunities. It is a unique quarterly in the Hungarian legal market which aims to make foreign partners aware of the Hungarian business life.
Endre truly has an international academic background. He earned his Serbian law diploma from the University of Novi Sad, and his Hungarian law diploma from the Law School of Pázmány Péter University. Moreover, he received an LLM from the Central European University. Besides English and Hungarian, he is also fluent in Serbian and Croatian.

Zsolt Ujfalussy joined VJT & Partners in 2017 as a lead attorney heading the firm's financing, real estate, commercial contracts and tax litigation practices.
Zsolt has more than 10 years experience in advising domestic and international investors in a wide variety of transactions, including among others large-scale real estate deals, M&A, project finance and refinancing. The real estate transactions that Zsolt worked on included both share and asset deals, and covered all stages of the projects from early negotiations to drafting the transaction documents up to closing the deal. Additionally, Zsolt is experienced in following these transactions from a tax law point of view as well.
Zsolt also has extensive experience in financing matters and in financial and banking law, which covers project finance, refinancing, private equity investment and regulatory issues. His experience as a banking lawyer also includes general legal advisory for international financial institutions.
Zsolt possesses significant expertise in tax litigation and in advising clients during tax audits. He has also been involved in transactional tax advisory in connection with real estate development, real estate sale and purchase transactions and M&A. The scope of Zsolt's legal advisory work also includes counselling on and drafting a wide range of commercial contracts.
Zsolt graduated summa cum laude from the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of Pázmány Péter Catholic University, Budapest in 2004 and then completed a two-year postgraduate course at the University of Cambridge, where he studied English law and European Union law. Concurrently, he studied tax law at Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, attending thereafter a tax advisor training course. Zsolt also has experience in IT related matters and software development.

Andrea joined VJT & Partners in 2018 heading the firm’s competition law practice.
Andrea’s entire professional life has been seen through competition law, therefore she is aware of everything connected to it. Having had worked as one of the heads of the Hungarian Competition Authority for nearly ten years, she knows the field inside and out. The following decade she gained expertise in the same legal field as a legal adviser and attorney, this time experiencing the market players’ side of the battle.
As the secretary-general of the GVH, she took part in developing the internal procedural rules of the authority based on relevant legislation. She has looked deeply into and participated in every type of authority proceeding. She took part in the professional preparation of authority cases, in the evaluation of evidence and often in the legitimate application of given regulations.
After her authority activity, Andrea worked as a legal adviser for a few years. She represented companies and associations against GVH-initiated competition supervision proceedings. Besides being an adviser, she has carried out several competition law compliance audits as well.
Preparing companies for competition authority proceedings makes Andrea’s portfolio even more diverse. As a part of these, she framed specialized summaries, coached staff members and moreover, she monitored „mock” down raids.
Andrea graduated from the Law School of József Attila University, Szeged in 1999. She also received a Master's degree (LL.M) in the field of international and European business law from Eötvös Lóránd University, Budapest in 2014. Andrea has been the member of the Budapest Bar since 2010.

Zoltán has extensive experience in labour and employment matters and has advised a number of multinational clients on a wide variety of contentious and non-contentious employment matters. His experience as an employment and labour lawyer covers due diligence, employee transfers in outsourcing and M&A transactions, employment litigation, implementation of foreign employment agreement templates in the Hungarian legal environment, preparing internal HR policies and guidelines, advising on termination matters including mass dismissals but also termination of leading employee and CEO employments.
He is also frequently involved in disputes in other jurisdictions with Hungarian legal aspects in which the firm acts in conjunction with local counsel.
